About the Author

As a Singapore-based photographer and storyteller, I have always been drawn to the quieter moments that surround the places we visit — the details that are often missed when travel becomes about moving from one destination to the next.

My work has always been about observation: the morning light entering a hotel room, the texture of aged wood in a traditional inn, the way a space reflects its surroundings, and the small gestures of hospitality that make a stay feel memorable.

“Unrushed Stays was created from this same perspective — some places deserve more than a night’s stay or a quick review.”

Beyond the room itself, there are stories found in the architecture, the landscape, the people who care for it, and the feeling a place leaves behind long after departure. Through Unrushed Stays, I document hotels, resorts, villas, ryokans, and retreats not only as places to sleep, but as places to pause, reconnect, and experience a destination more deeply.

Every image and story shared here is an invitation to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the art of stillness.

02 Intentional

For those who appreciate the details

A meaningful stay is rarely defined by luxury alone. It is found in the quiet moments — the first impression when entering a space, the relationship between a hotel and its surroundings, the craftsmanship behind the design, the warmth of service, and the feeling of being somewhere that encourages you to slow down.

Whether it is a hidden boutique hotel tucked inside a neighbourhood, a traditional ryokan surrounded by nature, a villa designed for privacy, or a resort created for complete escape, the goal remains the same: to discover places that allow us to experience travel with more intention.

03 A Slower Approach

Staying beyond the room

In a world where hotels are often chosen through ratings, prices, and convenience, Unrushed Stays takes a different approach. We believe the most memorable places are not always the biggest or the most recognised. They are the ones with intention.

01 The architect who creates harmony between space and landscape.
02 The host who remembers the smallest details.
03 The room that makes you want to linger in the morning.
04 The view that changes the way you experience a destination.
05 The atmosphere that stays with you even after you leave.

This is a collection of places worth travelling for, stays worth remembering, and moments worth taking time to experience.
